Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure is a platform game that is co-developed by Dimps and Sonic Team. It is co-published by SNK Playmore Corporation and Sega. The producer of the game is Yuji Naka. The supervisor is Hiroshi Matsumoto. The executive producer of the game is Takeshi Nishiyama. Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure is available on the Neo Geo Pocket Color platform. It was released on the 3rd December 1999 and 11th January 2000. It can be played as the single player or multi player modes. The ESRB had rated the game as suitable to be played by everyone.
Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure has six zones. The Neo South Island zone features the styles of the Green Hill Zone in the original Sonic the Hedgehog game. In this zone, you will come across many loops and corkscrews. The background music of the Neo South Island is Sonic Jam. The design of the Secret Plant zone has many similarities with the Chemical Plant zone. In the second act of the Chemical Plant zone, you will encounter with purple chemical liquids. In the multiplayer mode, you will be able to compete with each other. In order to compete with each other, both players must possess a Neo Geo Pocket Color. The multiplayer mode in Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure is called Duel Mode. The Duel mode allows you to choose from two modes including Sonic Rush and Get the Rings.
If you want to enter into the Chaotic Space bonus level, you have to collect all the chaos emeralds before proceeding to level 13. In the Chaotic Space, Sonic will turn into a Super Sonic so that he has super power to defeat Dr. Robotnik. While you are in the Chaotic Space bonus level, you must press the A button on the controller. After that, you have to stand in the path where the missile will be fire against you. Super Sonic will release his special power and send them back. When you are fighting with Dr. Robotnik, you must hit him 7 times. After that, you must aim for the emerald that is located on his back. The emerald will fall onto the ground after you hit it twice times.
During the special stage, you have to collect ninety six puzzle pieces. The six puzzle pieces will be fixed into the puzzle room. After you have place the six puzzles in the Puzzle Room, the Special Stage will be enabled. You can access the Special Stage in the options menu. When you want to see the levels which you have played in the past, you can press the Option on the Sega logo. The Sound Test feature can be unlocked by collecting all te7 chaos emeralds.
